Unemployment vs Working at Supermedia

If your takehome pay is less than $1,700 a month at Supermedia, you may want to consider getting yourself fired. Unemployment benefits are paying this much, and you can be on it for a while....about a year. However, the amount does vary by state and depends on how much you make. You can defer the tax on the unemployment and pay the tax back the following year when you have a real job that pays.

For instance, you want to get the hell out of Supermedia's death spiral and get paid to look for a better job. If you can get by on $415 a week, you should get out while you can. Make sure you do not do anything that is unethical because you will not qualify for unemployment. You must be let go by the company for performace issues, such as not hitting your quota. You cannot quit and get unemployment.

So, you should really look at your finances such as how much gas you use to get to the hell hole of a company supermedia, eating lunch out, etc. and you may come out ahead.
